Key Slides
The main challenge was keeping respondents engaged through a lengthy questionnaire on a sensitive subject—breast cancer risk. The illustration became the interface itself, surprising users at each step to sustain their attention and make the experience feel approachable rather than clinical.
Process
Finding the Right Tone
Striking the right tone was the central concern throughout concept and style development. The illustrations needed to address risk factors like age, weight, alcohol, and family history through smart visual metaphors—communicating clearly without triggering anxiety or negative associations.
Poster Maker
The questionnaire concludes with an interactive poster-maker feature.
Users create their own personalised poster with advice and tips based on their answers—a way to materialise the experience and encourage follow-through on prevention habits.
Each question unfolds as an illustrated scene that responds to user input, turning the act of answering into a moment of discovery rather than a clinical task.
